The first meeting between mentors – students from Transilvania University of Brașov – and mentees – refugee children living in Brașov – was a great success! The meeting took place on the 29 of January 2026 at University of Transilvania in Brasov.
Fifty refugee children living in Brașov will be supported in their integration into Romania by 50 student mentors through a pilot project co-funded by the European Union under the AMIF (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund) programme: Language Buddy – Supporting Language Learning of Migrant Children and Young Adults through Language Buddies.
We wish them great success in their new intercultural journey!
The Language Buddy Programme, co-financed by the European Union through the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), seeks to promote intercultural dialogue and social inclusion, by bringing together higher education students and young migrants between 12 to 17 years old.
