Continuation of support for Ukrainian refugees in Brasov (information and counseling, direct assistance, MPHSS, Romanian language courses)

Location: Brasov, Romania

Protection Monitoring, Information sharing and Individual Protection Assistance to Ukrainian Refugees in Brasov

Through this project the Migrant Integration Center in Brasov, Romania will create a mobile team for the Ukrainian communities living outside of the city of Brasov offering information and counselling, protection monitoring and individual protection assistance.

Humanitarian Assistance for Refugees from Ukraine in Romania is a project financed by Swiss Solidarity through Solidar Suisse in Brasov and Timisoara starting with 1st of July 2022. 

Through this project the Migrant Integration Center in Brasov, Romania will offer information and counselling to the people fleeing Russia’s invasion in Ukraine,  continue the cash assistance program together with Banca Transilvania and offer psychological counseling for people involved.

ERRU  – Early Response for refugees from Ukraine is a humanitarian project financed by Solidar Suisse  active in Brasov and Timisoara starting with March 10th 2022. .

The project focuses on providing information and assistance for 10.000 Ukrainian refugees in Brasov and Timisoara and offer, in partnership with Banca Transilvania, cash assistance for 3000 refugees.

Oameni pentru Oameni – ongoing

The ongoing Oameni pentru Oameni programme by Fundația Comunitară Brașov is offering support for Ukrainian refugees in Brasov through immediate assistance in the form of meal tickets and medical assistance.

Budget: 400.000 lei

BINE 360 project aims to organize Romanian language courses for 100 refugees from Ukraine, to offer organizational development activities and psychological counselling.

The program “Bine360 – We are good, we do good” is coordinated by the Federation of Community Foundations in Romania, with financial support provided by People In Need, and implemented locally through the Brașov Community Foundation

 Brasov budget: EUR 24,000

 Duration: 10 months (1 November – 31 August 2023)

Action Aid – Medium Term Support for Ukrainian Refugees in Brasov is a project financed through Alianza por la Solidaridad beginning with May 2022.

Through this project Migrant Integration Center Brasov ensures refugees get access to an independent, safe and decent living standard while settled in Brasov. The project will help persons fleeing the Russian invasion in Ukraine with food tickets, hygiene packages for families, support for pregnancy related expenses, reimbursing medical expenses, offer trousseau for newborns, support 50 young Ukrainians with a form of cash assistance, and support  children with educational packages – school supplies.

Integration Program For Refugees – the funding for this grant is done by the Romanian Federation of Community Foundations through funds accessed from OXFAM GB and UK AID withy the support of the Community Fooundation in Brasov. 

This project has offered Romanian language courses, beginner level, in a facet to face system, to 90 adult persons fleeing the Russian invasion in Ukraine.

The humanitarian project financed by Fabory helped Ukrainian refugees living in Brasov with 30.000 Lei in meal tickets and 20.000 Lei for medical assistance.

Budget:  50,000 lei  


O-VIDEO team helped Ukrainian refugees living in Brasov by financing 8000 RON of their medical bills in the past month. O-VIDEO has 20 years of experience on the broadcast, audio-video, film and post-production market in Romania (Bucharest and Brasov), Great Britain, the Republic of Moldova, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The Bucharest office is the Sony Authorized Service Center (ASC).
